Brahmpura Strongly Condemns CM Bhagwant Mann's Abdication of Responsibility Towards Punjabis' Safety Amidst Ongoing Israel-Iran War

TARN TARAN: Shiromani Akali Dal Vice President and former MLA from Khadoor Sahib, Constituency In-charge Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, has issued a strong condemnation of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's blatant abdication of responsibility towards the safety of Punjabis stranded abroad amidst the serious ongoing war between Israel and Iran.

Brahmpura remarked, "Current facts clearly indicate that a large number of our citizens from Punjab are present in both Israel and Iran. Particularly in Israel, members of the Punjabi community, including nurses, caregivers, and construction workers, are working in significant numbers. In this extremely dangerous environment of war, safeguarding the valuable lives of one's state's citizens is the foremost and crucial priority for any responsible Chief Minister."

He further added, "It is utterly shameful and regrettable that while Chief Ministers of all other states in India are taking every possible step for the return and safety of their people and are in constant coordination with India's Ministry of External Affairs, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has shown no concern for the safety of his own people. His entire focus is solely on the political agenda of sending 'AAP' Supremo Arvind Kejriwal to the Rajya Sabha, following his humiliating defeat in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections."

Brahmpura emphatically stated, "The Aam Aadmi Party's entire focus is currently on the Ludhiana West by-election to pave Kejriwal's way to the Rajya Sabha." He added, "It is highly reprehensible that while our Punjabi brothers and sisters are stranded in a war zone on foreign soil, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his entire party are prioritizing their political agenda over the lives of the people. The Aam Aadmi Party has completely deviated from Punjab's real issues. They are not concerned about the safety of the people of Punjab, agriculture, industry, or the future of its youth. All their efforts are concentrated on appeasing their political masters in Delhi and fulfilling their personal political interests."

Brahmpura appealed to the Government of India's Ministry of External Affairs to take immediate steps for the protection of the people of Punjab in this sensitive situation. He strongly demanded that the Ministry of External Affairs release accurate and immediate data on Punjabis present in Israel and Iran and devise a concrete and time-bound plan for their safe return, even if the Punjab government is completely shirking its responsibility.

Brahmpura called on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to immediately cease his political games, prioritize the safety of the lives of the people of Punjab, and coordinate with the Central Government to ensure the safety of its citizens.
