Brahmpura Accuses AAP of Widespread Corruption in Delhi and Punjab, Calls for Strong Investigations

TARN TARAN: In a compelling statement released to the media today, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Vice President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Khadoor Sahib constituency in-charge, condemned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its alleged involvement in corruption that spans from Delhi to Punjab. Brahmpura asserted that AAP's image of integrity has been thoroughly compromised.

Brahmpura pointed to ongoing investigations in Delhi, where AAP faces numerous allegations of scams involving billions of rupees, and claimed that similar embezzlement schemes are taking root in Punjab, particularly within the Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. He specifically addressed accusations surrounding the alleged misappropriation of ₹18 crore in development funds intended for the Tarn Taran blocks.

“It is alarming that funds meant for the development of villages are being blatantly misappropriated in collusion with a company owned by a relative of an AAP leader, ” Brahmpura stated. He expressed dismay that while the focus has been on taking action against Panchayat Secretaries, key political players linked to the corruption remain unaccountable.

Brahmpura characterized this corruption as a direct reflection of AAP's governance model, which he labeled the "Delhi model." He cited prominent fraud cases in Delhi, including a ₹145 crore scam in the 'Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana, ' which was originally allocated only ₹15 crore to support Dalit students. He also referenced an extensive liquor scam involving high-ranking AAP officials, along with ongoing investigations by agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into various projects related to hospital construction and CCTV installations.
