Brahmapura and Dhidsa factions of SAD meets three-member unity committee

CHANDIGARH: A three member Ekta Committee formed by Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) met Shiromani Akali Dal Democratic President Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa Member Rajya Sabha and his son Parminder Singh Dhindsa former Finance Minister at their residence for about an hour.

Ekta Committee Chairman Jathedar Ujagar Singh Bandali former MLA, Member S. Karnail Singh Peermohammad and Jathedar Mahinder Singh Hussainpur Member Sromani Gurdwara were present in the meeting. Dhindsa was apprised of the spirit of unity of Jathedar Brahmpura which Dhindsa and his son Parminder Singh Dhindsa happily expressed and said that he would discuss the matter with his senior colleagues this week and brief the Ekta Committee on the situation in the next meeting.

Briefing the press, Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, Chief Spokesperson and General Secretary of SAD-Taksali said that the unity of the Shiromani Akali Dal is essential for the betterment of the Punjab and the Panth.
