CHANDIGARH: Former Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Bir Devinder Singh today said that resignations by PPCC president Sunil Jakhar and Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa are a political drama.
In a statement he said that were reports in the media that Sunil Jakhar and Sukhjinder Singh Randawa peeved over the terrible mess in Punjab, dramatically handed over their resignations to the Chief Minister in the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, which the Chief Minister tore off instantly in front of them. If these leaders really feel their conscious burdened with the colossal failures of the Congress Government on all fronts and If they have little bit of conscious breathing in their existence , then they should resign truthfully and quit in the real sense rather than playing observable optics for the public eye .
He said that Sunil Jakhar and Randawa need to answer many pertinent questions. In the multi-party system of Democracy the Political party is ostensibly believed to be supreme. If the governance in the State of Punjab has gone literally berserk and failed to deliver then the Congress party is also to be blamed squarely. It is intriguing; as to why the congress party navigators at the helm chose to look the other way, when the State of Punjab was in complete disarray. Mr. Sunil Jakhar as PCC President has failed apparently to appraise the congress 'High Command' with regard to the despicably autocratic and domineering functioning of Capt. Amarinder Singh, ever since he assumed his second term as Chief Minister in March 2017. Where was the consciousness of Mr Sunil Jakhar when Mafias of all kinds were having the free run and looting the vital resources of the State of Punjab with impunity?
Where was the conscious of Sukhjinder Singh Randawa as Jail Minister when a Mafia Don from UP Mukhtar Ansari was mysteriously brought to Punjab and hosted for two years as undeclared 'State Guest' in the District jail , Ropar Did he ever dare to question the questionable deal under which Ansari was being kept in Ropar jail and the Punjab Government at every level and at an exorbitant expense resisted all moves of the UP Government to take him back to Banda Jail in UP from where he was brought on production warrants. if they are not suffering from multi infarct dementia may I ask them as to why they did not take up the issue with the Chief Minister then to rein in IG Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh when he was making the mockery of investigation a very sensitive case by revealing the sensitive information to the media through manipulated selective leaks. Why then did they not ask the Chief Minister to reprimand Kunwar Vijay Partap who was spoiling the objectivity of the probe by a definite design.
He added that although Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh IPS has resigned from the service , abdicating his responsibility, but there would be no closure to the design by which he systematically destroyed the ultimate outcome of the investigation of the whole case/cases, that he was investigating and there also would be no closure to the sinister designs of the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh who deliberately allowed the things to go berserk under his very nose, to benefit both the Badals.
