Baba Ramdev pays obeisance at Golden temple, hands over Rs 1 crore cheque to SGPC President to help flood victims

AMRITSAR: Baba Ram Dev, the head of Patanjali Yog Peeth Haridwar, who reached Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib to pay obeisance, met SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and also handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore for the services being provided by SGPC for the flood victims. 

On this occasion, the SGPC President honored Baba Ram Dev and Harpreet Singh Minhas, who came with him from Mumbai, at the Information Center of Sri Darbar Sahib by giving them a model and a piece of iron of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. 

On this occasion, Advocate Dhami said that Punjab has suffered a lot due to floods and the Shiromani Committee has been continuously providing services to the flood victims since the first day. 

He said that Sikh congregations and organizations from home and abroad are also contributing a lot to these services. 

Baba Ram Dev, who reached Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib to pay obeisance today, has also handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore from his organization. Advocate Dhami thanked Baba Ram Dev and his organization. Meanwhile, the Shiromani Committee President also invited Baba Ram Dev to participate in the events to be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of the 350th centenary of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. 

Meanwhile, Baba Ram Dev said that he has found immense peace by paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. 

He said that the blessings of the Gurus are on all humanity, which cannot be forgotten. There is no discrimination of religion, caste and creed in this holy place bequeathed by the Gurus.

He praised the services rendered by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee during the floods and expressed the commitment of Patanjali Yoga Peeth to cooperate.

On this occasion, Shiromani Committee members Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal, S. Mohan Singh Bangi, OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, General Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Deputy Secretary Harbhajan Singh Wakta, Advocate Pradeep Goyal, Manager Jaspal Singh Dhadde, Information Officer Amritpal Singh, Randhir Singh and Sarabjit Singh and others were present.
