Aren't you ashamed to take out march from Takht Sahiban while forgoing Anandpur Sahib resolution: Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa

CHANDIGARH:Senior Congress leader and Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today lambasted Sukhbir Singh Badal for completely forgoing the Anandpur Sahib resolution which advocated more rights to the States and strengthening the federal structure of the country. “Aren’t you ashamed for taking out march from Three Takht Sahiban?”, asked Congress leader to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

In a press communiqué here today, Randhawa said that the SAD leadership under clutches of badals first chose to consign Anandpur Sahib resolution to the oblivion. The badal family sided with the decision of Citizenship Amendment Act (C.A.A.) undertaken by the NDA Government which stifled the federal structure of the nation. Now again when the Union Government striking at the federal structure, has passed the farm ordinances before enacting the law, the akali leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal was a member of the Union Cabinet, said Randhawa adding that with what morals is the SAD taking out march in favour of the farmers. He also quipped that the decision of Akali Dal to resign from the Union Cabinet and break alliance with the Central Government is not out of any morality or opposition but because of being forced by the necessity keeping in view the anger amongst the farmers. Now, the SAD is presenting itself as a hallowed martyr and indulging in the theatrics.

The Minister further said that the march being taken out by the SAD ton showcase itself as the champion of farmers’ cause is nothing but an unsuccessful attempt by the so called panthic party to revive its political fortunes but now its mask of duplicity has come off and it stands exposed before not only Punjab but the whole world.

Castigating the SAD, the minister further revealed that the Sikh Panth has discarded akali dal in the aftermath of the sacrilege and firing incidents at bargari and behbal kalan and the farmers have also come to know about the true colours of badal dal for clamoring for three months in favour of farm ordinances. These attempts by the SAD for regaining the lost political ground would prove futile, added Randhawa.
