Akal Takht Jathedar strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Gurdwara Karte Prawan in Kabul

AMRITSAR: Giani Harpreet Singh Jathedar of Akal Takht highest seat of Sikh religion has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Gurdwara Karte Prawan in Kabul this morning.

Jathedar Akal Takht said that Sikhs in Afghanistan have been attacked many times before and the plight of Sikhs living there is on the rise, creating an atmosphere of anxiety and fear among Sikhs.
He said that Sikhs have made strenuous efforts for the progress and prosperity of the country in which they reside. The Sikhs have maintained the tradition of co-operating with everyone following the teachings of their Gurus.

He said that there are many historical Gurdwaras in Afghanistan and Sikhs have been living there for centuries but some fanatics are targeting Sikhs by forgetting the history, traditions, customs and inspirations of the religion.

Giani Harpreet Singh said that the entire Sikh community was concerned about the Sikhs living in Afghanistan and the governments should also take concrete steps for the protection of Sikhs.
