AMRITSAR: Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami president Shiromani, Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Captain Harcharan Singh Rode, the elder brother of the 14th Head of Damdami Taksal, Qaumi Shaheed, and the great Sikh of 20th-century, Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale.
Jathedar Gargajj said that Captain Harcharan Singh Rode was a devoted Gursikh who led a life of discipline and dedication. His passing is a great loss to his family and to the Khalsa Panth. He added that there is a need today to spread more awareness about Sikh personalities like Captain Harcharan Singh Rode, who rendered remarkable services during his tenure in the armed forces.
Jathedar Gargajj offered prayers before the Akal Purakh to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to accept His divine will.
Meanwhile Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the demise of Captain Harcharan Singh Rode, elder brother of 20th century great Sikh leader Giani Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale. Advocate Dhami said that the family of Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale is highly respected in the Sikh community. His brother Captain Harcharan Singh Rode was also a regular and enterprising Sikh, whose demise has caused a great loss to the family and the Panth. Expressing his condolences to the family, Advocate Dhami prayed to the Almighty to grant the departed soul a place of rest at his feet and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
