In a written statement issued by the Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh, referring to the accidents that occurred due to hooliganism and stunts by some youths during the Hola-mahalla in previous years.

He said that on the occasion of Hola Mahalla, the national festival of the Khalsa, apart from Sikh devotees from the country and abroad, people of other religions and media workers also reach Sri Anandpur Sahib and due to such bad incidents, the image of the Sikh community is bad among the people of other countries. .
He said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji had given the Khalsa Panth the concept of Hola-Mahalla, different from Holi, the purpose of which was to make the Sikh community more organized, disciplined and physically and mentally aware.

He said that on the occasion of Hola-Mahalla, all the Sangats and youths who come to Sri Anandpur Sahib should visit the historical Gurdwaras of Sri Anandpur Sahib and the Jaho-Jalal of the Khalsa, staying in good manners, honor and respect. Parents, Granthi Singh Sahibans of the villages should also inform the youth going to Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of Hola-Mahalla that they should not make the religious journey a fun or a riot.
