CHANDIGARH: Supporting the struggle of the unemployed teachers who were agitating for employment, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stated that the party would raise its voice in favor of the youth on every front. In a statement issued from the party headquarters on Sunday, AAP state youth wing president and MLA from Barnala, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that AAP had been raising its voice everywhere for the employment of the youth of Punjab.

He said that there had not been a month since the Captain's government came to power, in which the teachers seeking employment had not endured the atrocities, and even did not get the jobs yet.

Supporting the agitation of the teachers against Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla's ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ campaign, for the last several days, the AAP leader said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had reneged on every promise he had made to the people. He said that Captain Amarinder had promised the people to provide ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ before the elections, but forgot everything after coming to power. “The unemployed teachers, for the last four years have been spending nights on the streets agitating in harsh weather and in all seasons, but Captain Sahib is not seen anywhere, ” he added.

Hayer further said that the work of the Punjab Chief Minister following the cues of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was similar to that of the latter. “The Prime Minister does not get time from the corporate houses to listen to the farmers of Punjab and Captain Amarinder from his foreign friends, to talk to the unemployed youth of Punjab, ” he added. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party would continue to support the struggle of the youth fighting for employment till every youth gets a job. He appealed to the people to respond to the rising unemployment and the promise of ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ by the Congress, when it comes to seek votes.
