AAP senior leader and Vidhan Sabha constituency Gurdaspur in-charge Raman Bahl visited different villages

GURDASPUR:Mr. Raman Bahl, senior AAP leader and in-charge of Vidhan Sabha constituency Gurdaspur visited different villages keeping in mind the rain falling for the last few days and listened to the problems of the people and solved them. He interacted with the farmers/people on his arrival at the villages Saravan, Dakhla, Hardan, Lolo Nangal, Aluna, Hardochhani and Khokhar Rajputs this morning.
Speaking on this occasion, Raman Bahl said that due to the continuous rains in the last few days and the rise in the water level in the Ravi River, there was a flood-like situation in the district, the main victims of which were the people of the villages. He said that the district administration Gurdaspur has also made proper arrangements to deal with the threat situation like flood and the authorities are continuously monitoring the situation.
On this occasion, the people of villages Radhan, Nangal, Mukandpur, Chagowal and Khokhar brought to the attention of Raman Bahl that the drain that started from Magarmudi (by Kiran) has been terminated in village Radhan (Hardan) tehsil district Gurdaspur. A natural stream is running ahead of this village, which has not been cleaned for the past several years. As a result of which the land of Radhan, Nangal, Khokhar, Mukandpur, Chagowal and Hardochchanni and many other villages adjacent to this natural river has been washed away by the rain water and the crops of the farmers have failed. He said that the cleaning of this natural stream should be done from village Radhan to Dehriwal so that the water can be drained and the crops of the farmers can be saved.
Raman Bahl assured the farmers/people after listening to the difficulties of the villagers that Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh will raise this issue with Hon. He said that the AAP government is the government of the people and the problems of the people will be solved on priority basis.
Speaking on this occasion, Raman Bahl said that due to the continuous rains falling in the last few days and due to the increase in the water level in the Ravi river, there was a flood-like situation in the district, keeping in mind that he has come to meet the people of the villages. He said that the district administration Gurdaspur has also made adequate arrangements to deal with the danger situation like flood and the officials are continuously monitoring the situation.

On this occasion, the people of villages Radhan, Nangal, Mukandpur, Chagowal and Khokhar brought to the attention of Raman Bahl that the Alechak drain starting from (Kiran Nale) Magarmudi has been completed in village Radhan (Hardan) Tehsil District Gurdaspur. A natural canal is running ahead of this village, which has not been cleaned for many years. As a result, the land of Radhan, Nangal, Khokhar, Mukandpur, Chagowal and Hardochhani and many other villages adjacent to this natural drain has come under the influence of rain water and the crops of the farmers have been damaged. He said that the cleaning of this natural drain should be done from village Radhan to Dehriwal so that the water can be drained and farmers' crops can be avoided.

Raman Bahl assured the farmers/people after listening to the hardships of the villagers that he will be the Chief Minister of Punjab. Bhagwant Singh will raise this issue with Hon. He said that the AAP government is the government of the people and the problems of the people will be solved on priority basis. On this occasion, he also heard other problems of the people and asked the concerned officials to solve them on the spot.

Talking to the farmers of the villages, Narman Bahl said that the government and the volunteers of the constituency are standing with the farmers and they will not be allowed any difficulty. He asked the officials to maintain continuous coordination with the people/farmers of the villages affected by rain water and to solve their problems on priority basis.

On this occasion, Naib Tehsildar Hire Pal, BDPO Baljit Singh, Panchayat Secretary, JE Panchayati Raj and volunteers of AAP party and important persons of the villages were also present.
