AAP announces various programs in support of the farmers waging a big battle in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State General Secretary Harchand Singh Bursat on Saturday said that the party (AAP) had announced its programs across Punjab to ensure victory in the ongoing battle being waged by the farmers' organizations in Punjab against the dictatorial state and central regimes.

In a press statement issued from party headquarters in Chandigarh here on Saturday, Harchand Singh Bursat said that the Aam Aadmi Party, along with state president and MP Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, and a large number of volunteers and office- bearers of the party would take their positions in various districts of Punjab, where massive rallies in support of the farmers would be held. He added that at the village level, all village gram sabhas to be convened under the programme charted out would unanimously pass resolutions against the black laws aimed at eliminating the peasantry.

Elaborating on the comprehensive programme already set in motion, Harchand Singh Bursat said that the party, under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann and Harpal Singh Cheema, would hold rallies for the  farmers on October 5 in Tarn Taran, October 6 in village Chhajli under Sangrur district, October 9 in Hoshiarpur, various villages in  Doaba on October 10 and in Muktsar district on October 11, resolutions against the three anti-farmer agriculture ordinances would be adopted unanimously in the presence of Panches-Sarpanchs and members of the village gram sabhas for the abrogation of the black laws.

The state General Secretary said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was ready to take on the cudgels to fight the big battle of the farmers by standing shoulder to shoulder with them and would stoutly support any  struggle of the farmers till all the three anti-agriculture Bills were not reversed.
