PHAGWARA: Total 77 Positive Cases of Corona were detected in the district kapurthala, while one woman breathed her last due to Covid in Phagwara village Ranipur.
Meanwhile in a typical situation, the health department authorities are sending list of 58 positive cases of Phagwara and its surroundings tested today whom samples were taken on Tuesday, while Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Ghanshyam Thori claimed that total 29 cases were tested positive in Phagwara today from which 15 cases belonged to Phagwara and 14 cases are residents of other districts. D.C. disclosed that one female Sr Asstt in local SDM Office Phagwara was also tested positive today.
On the other hand District Epidemiologist Dr Rajiv Bhagat told media that total 488 corona cases are still active in the district. Interestingly SDM Phagwara Shayari Malhotra could not be able to update the number of corona positive cases.When this correspondent visited SDM office after 10.30AM today SDM was not available in the office. The Present staff informed media that official vehicle has been sent to pick SDM from her Jalandhar residence. Interestingly most of the officers posted at Phagwara usually residing at their respective native towns and daily came here. Meanwhile ADC Rajiv Verma got second dose of Covishield here today.
