PHAGWARA: A middle aged poor woman (40) was reportedly raped by a Bihari Migrant youth in a room of a PG near law Gate Village Miherru near Phagwara in wee hours today.
The Victim a resident of Amar Nagar Modele House Jalandhar was working as caretaker and was residing in Paying Guest House.
The Victim woman was sent to local civil hospital for medical examination to confirm the rape, the police said.
When contacted Phagwara S.P. Rupinder Kaur Bhatti confirmed it and told this correspondent that the accused identified as Nitish Kumar resident of Viage Konch District Gaya Bihar has been apprehended in few hours after the incident. A case under section 64 BNS has been registered in Satnampura Police Station Phagwara against the apprehended accused
