PHAGWARA:The Mehat Pur police have arrested a woman drug peddler on charges of
selling heroin and intoxicant tablets last night.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Mohindar Pal said that 10 grams of
heroin and 150 intoxicant tablets were recovered from the possession
of the accused identified as Parkash Kaur wife of Charan Singh a
resident of Burre Wal village under Shahkot police station.
SHO said that a case under sections 21-(B), 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act
has been registered against the accused.
SHO said two cases under the NDPS Act are pending against the accused
who confessed during interrogation that she bought this contraband
from Sandip Kaur wife of Jasveer Singh and Jasveer Singh @ Jassi
residents of Dharme Dian Chhana village who are still absconding.
