NAKODAR: The Nakodar City police have arrested a mother-son duo on charges of cheating, extortion, and committing a crime with common intention.
Station House Officer (SHO) Dharminder Kalyann said that the accused has been identified as Santosh wife of Raj Kumar a resident of Malrri village has her son Jatinder Kumar alias Mohit.
SHO said that a case under sections 384(extortion) 420(cheating) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and assistant sub-inspector Rajinder Pal Singh is conducting further investigation adding that the third accused Pankaj was arrested earlier who was the main culprit in this case.
