NAKODAR: The Nakodar sadar police have arrested a convict for jumping bail. The investigating officer (IO)Gurnam Singh said that the accused has been identified as Kuldip Singh, a resident of Chak Khurd village.
Superintendent Central Jail, Kapurthala in an official communication to the police has said that convict was released from jail on December 11 , 2020 for eight weeks parole which was extended from time to time due to Covid pandemic, but he did not present himself at jail after expiry of leave.
IO said that a case section 7/8 of The Punjab Good Conduct Prisoner Temporary Release Act was registered against the accused.
