NEW DELHI: Sukhbir Singh Sandhi former Chief Secretary of Uttrakhand abd Gayanesh Kumar have been nominated as new Election Commissioners of India. The selection was made by a three member committee headed by Prime Minister Narender Modi.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha gave this information. He said that names have been sent to President of India for consent. Congress leader Chowdhary is member of the selection committee.
Sukhbir Singh Sandhu who belongs to Punjab did his MBBS from Government Medical College, Amritsar and also has a Master's Degree in History from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
