AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has invited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Aditya Nath Yogi to participate in the celebrations to be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib to mark the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
As per the directions of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, a delegation led by Dharam Prachar Committee member Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhishek met Chief Minister Aditya Nath Yogi.
Meanwhile, a letter was handed over to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami to participate in the centenary celebrations being held at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Along with this, the delegation also thanked the Chief Minister for the support extended to the Shaheed Nagar Kirtan, which started from Assam and was dedicated to the martyrdom centenary, and was given a grand welcome in UP.
The delegation that met the Chief Minister included Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhishek, member of the Dharam Prachar Committee, S. Brijpal Singh, in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Sikh Mission Hapur, and S. Baldev Singh Aulakh, Agriculture Minister of the Uttar Pradesh Government.
Giving information in this regard, Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhishek said that the 350th martyrdom anniversary celebrations of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji are being held at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to November 29, in which letters are being given to prominent personalities from across the country for their participation. In this regard, as per the instructions of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the delegation met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Aditya Nath Yogi and also invited him to participate in the celebrations being held at Sri Anandpur Sahib by the SGPC.
