PNB provides interest on fixed deposits at different rates ranging from 3.50% per annum to 7.25% per annum. The highest interest rate is 7.25% which is for deposits less than INR 2 crores. These schemes range from a tenure of 7 days to 10 years. 

Punjab National Bank provides competitive interest rates along with some benefits like flexible tenure, nomination facility, loan options, etc. The interest rates on PNB FDs vary depending on the tenure and the market conditions.

 Types of PNB FD Schemes 

  1. PNB Ordinary Term Deposit Scheme
  2. PNB Tax Shield – Fixed Deposit Scheme
  3. PNB Pranam Fixed Deposit Scheme
  4. PNB Uttam – Non Callable Deposit Scheme 

Schemes covered under E – FD i.e. through internet banking 

  • This scheme is applicable to internet banking users only.
  • All the accounts of the customers shall fulfill KYC compliance.
  • It is applicable to existing account holders of Savings or Current account.
  • Valid PAN card is also required.
  • The mode of operation, nomination and preferential rate will remain the same as in the underlying savings or current account for which the FD is to be funded.
  • For loan purposes, the account holder shall visit home branch.
  • Auto renewal is allowed for maturity value.
  • In case of non-renewal, the amount will be credited to the same account from which the FD was funded.
  • Premature withdrawal is also permitted.
  • TDS certificate will also be issued.
  • Nomination facility is also available.
