CHANDIGARH: Ministry of Power has invited All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF), National Coordination committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (, NCCOEEE) , Punjab State Electricity Board Engineers Association (PSEBEA ) and other employees Federations and state associations has been invited by to discuss Electricity Amendment Bill 2025 on 12th January.
The meeting under the Chairmanship of Secretary (Power) will be held on 12th January 2026 in , Shram Shakti Bhawan, , New Delhi, to discuss the draft Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2025. This meeting will be conducted in Hybrid Mode.
All those Federation and Associations who submitted their comments on Electricity (Amendment) bill 2025 have been invited for the meeting. There are around 45 associations and federations who will join the discussion.The communication has been sent to all concerned. Ministry of Power is making every effort to get the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 passed in the Parliament's Budget session..There is a meeting on January 13 with organizations of industrial houses, consumer forums, etc. There is a meeting on January 22-23 with the power ministers of all states in the country. V K GUPTA media advisor AIPEF said that after all these meetings, it will be easier for the Ministry of Power to claim that we have consulted all stakeholders, and thereafter the bill is being introduced in Parliament.
