Maharashtra's Sikh community takes to the streets in Vashi in support of the bandh call

AMRITSAR: The Sikh community in Maharashtra today rallied in support of the United Kisan Morcha's call for India Bandh in support of farmers at Vashi in New Mumbai today under the chairmanship of Supreme Council Navi Mumbai Gurdwara Bhai Jaspal Singh Sidhu. And peaceful but violent protests against the central government drew the attention of locals and the government.

Hundreds of enthusiastic Sikhs, including a large number of women, carried banners and placards in favor of the peasantry on the side of the road, on which take back the black law, we are the sons of farmers, no farmer no food, Kisan Mazdoor Ekta Zindabad, Kisani Zindabad, Kisan Di Sport Karo etc. were written.

According to Prof. Sarchand Singh, Bhai Jaspal Singh Sidhu, Chairman, Supreme Council, Navi Mumbai Gurdwara, who was leading the protest, called on the Narendra Modi Government at the Center to withdraw the three agricultural laws passed in favor of the nationwide farmers' struggle.
He lamented that the farmers of the country were protesting against the three agricultural bills passed by the central government at the border of Delhi at the cost of more than 700 lives over the last one year and demanded its withdrawal.
