MALOUT:Former Union Minister Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said that Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal was making those promises to Punjabis, which he never implemented in Delh and asserted that AAP was already a failed party in Punjab on which Punjabis will not trust this time.
Addressing different election programmes in favour of party candidate Harpreet Singh Kotbhai in town today, Bathinda MP said that it is strange to see Arvind Kejriwal making tall and fake promises to Punjabis assuming that they were fool.
She said that promise of Rs. 1000 to every women above 18 years was never implemented in Delhi. Similarly promise of 300 units free power was not implemented in Delhi and infact what was implemented was a scheme with such riders that it can be useful for people.
Mrs. Badal said that AAP was already a failed party in Punjabi whose 11 out of 20 MLAs have left party and 3 out of 4 MPs have deserted party because they had seen that Arvind Kejriwal was adopting anti Punjab stance outstand Punjab and presents himself to be pro Punjab when he visits state. She said that though Punjabis had given AAP 20 seats in 2017 elections but this time they will not trust Kejriwal or his dummy CM candidate Bhagwant Mann and will not given even 20 seats to it this time.
Lashing out at Congress, Bathinda MP said that the Congress government had betrayed Punjabis by promising eradication of drugs within four weeks of assuming office even when Capt. Amarinder Singh had taken pious oath of Gutka Sahib at Talwandi sabo. She said “instead of fulfilling its promise it has brought in the plague of home delivery of drugs”. She said the next SAD-BSP government would end this menace once and for all.
Asserting that the Congress government had taken the State back, Mrs Badal said “even as the State debt has increased by Rs 1 lakh crore, all social welfare benefits have been either scrapped or severely curtailed”. She said lakhs of blue cards which entitled the poor to subsided ration had been deleted. “The Congress government also reneged in its promise to increase Shagun scheme to Rs 51, 000 and give old age pension of Rs 2, 500 per month”. She also castigated the Congress party for introducing “ghar ghar berozgari” instead of ensuring “ghar ghar naukari”.
Targeting chief minister Charanjit Channi, the Bathinda MP said the former had put up posters claiming Channi solves problems. “Punjabis are asking why he did not regularise the 36, 000 contractual employees of the State? Why he didn’t give the promised five Marla plots to the poor and homeless?”
She said that people have made by their mind to vote for SAD-BSP alliance as it was only time tested to deliver on promises. She said that SAD led Governments headed by S. Parkash Singh Badal delivered on free power to farmers, making Punjab power surplus, shagun scheme, old age pension, Atta Dal scheme, gyms for youth in villages and every promise which was made by SAD was fulfilled by its governments. He said that this time too SAD-BSP alliance will start fulfilling promises immediately after assuming power and Blue cards of poor people deleted by Congress Government will be restored in first month itself.
