CHENNAI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in multiple districts of Tamil Nadu over the next two days, including Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, and Thoothukudi.
The department has urged residents in these regions to stay alert as moderate to heavy showers, accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected.
In its latest weather bulletin, the IMD said that light to moderate rainfall with lightning and thunder is also likely at a few places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on Monday.
