GURDASPUR: To make the environment pollution free, environmentalist Jasbir Singh is giving a message to the society to take care of the environment by distributing free plants to the people. Environmentalists distributed free flowering plants at the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner and SSP Gurdaspur at the local District Administrative Complex today.
"The main need of the hour today is to save the environment from being polluted, " he said. Plant as many plants as possible and take care of them. Jasbir Singh, a 72-year-old environmentalist, said he has been distributing saplings in his nursery since 1991. Seasonal and medicinal plants are given to the people by him.
He distributed various seasonal flowers like Delia, Carandola, Poppy, White Gulsarfi today. Environmentalists say they distribute plants in homes, especially in pots.
He further said that in order to save the environment which was getting polluted day by day, we should all work hard and take care of them by planting trees.
