AMRITSAR: The name of Shaheed Udham Singh is being taken with great respect and pride. On the day of his martyrdom, the Punjab government has officially declared a holiday on July 31.

Institutions are being opened in his name, statues are being made, pictures are being put up in recent times, roads and colonies are being named after him.

Unfortunately, the doors of the historic Jallianwala Bagh have been closed for the last two years in the name of renovation.

The administration says Jallianwala Bagh is closed due to the second wave of Carona. But the government has already opened all businesses establishments, schools, and the number persons at wedding venues has risen from 20 to 200. Then what is the problem in opening Jallianwala Bagh?

People want to pay tribute to those who were killed in Jallianwala Bagh in 1919 The Jallianwala Bagh Shaheed Parivar Samiti has already demanded the reopening of the garden.
