CHANDIGARH: Former Punjab Chief Minister and BJP leader Capt Amarinder Singh today met the Prime Minister Narender Modi in Delhi and apprised him of current political situation in the state. He was acompanied by his daughter and president of Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha Jai Inder Kaur.
Captain Amarinder Singh after the meeting said that he was strongly in favour of political alliance between SAD and BJP as it will help both the parties to win Lok Sabha seats. He said that he has talked to PM and will also discuss with BJP president JP Nadda. He said that Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar was also in favour of alliance with Akalis.
Capt Amarinder Singh said that both the parties should decided seat sharing before the annoncement of Lok Sabha elections. He said that Hindu voters in cities and Sikh voters in rural areas if come togehter, they will become a big force.
