On August 18, tributes will be paid to former Governor Satyapal Malik ji in a meeting in Jagadhri. He said that Satyapal Malik started his political journey as a student leader and took the journey from MLA, MP, Union Minister to the Governor of five states with his hard work and public service. Satyapal Malik was an honest, innocent and farmer friendly leader, who raised open voice in favor of the farmers of Haryana and Punjab. He was constantly neglected due to questioning the policies of the ruling party.

He alleged that Satyapal Malik was ignored only because he came from the farmer community and boldly spoke in favor of the farmers. But govt never liked his truth. It is not proper to give state honors to Satyapal Malik. His departure is an indomitable loss for the farmer society and the honest of the country .. Satyapal Malik should be posthumously given proper honor and his farmer friendly policies should be taken forward. Many farmers were present on this occasion including State Vice President Subhash Bhagal, Jarnail Singh Jelly, Gurbachan Harigarh, Kindar Cheeka, Gurpal Gagadpur, Bhim Khanoda.
