PHAGWARA: Former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi has said that the BJP led Union Government is misbehaving with the farmers and is inhumanely torturing them, which Punjabis will never tolerate.

Talking to journalists at the Vishwakarma Mandir Phagwara on Sunday, he said that the central government, which is claiming as Pro-Farmers government, has no pity for the farmers of Punjab, as a result of which it is adopting a torturous attitude towards the farmers at the Shambhu border.

He said that this government is very arrogant and the government will have to bear the consequences in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Commenting upon Punjab Government, Channi said that the behavior of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is also not proving good and he is watching everything as an observer. He said that the Haryana government is firing tear gas shells in Punjab and a youth has also died during the firing, but no case has been registered by the Punjab government so far, which is very bad.

He said that the government of AAP has become a government of propaganda only and the work of illegal mining is going on day and night and even today he has shared the video of illegal mining on Sutlej Ropar which proves the bad performance of the government. He said that the government is promoting good health facilities to people by opening Aam Aadmi Clinic, but the reality is that there is a huge shortage of doctors in many hospitals and people are not getting treatment, but this Chief Minister is only limited to propaganda. Later Channi attended Shri Vishawkarma Jayanti Maha-Utsav at Vishawkarma Mandir.

Phagwara MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Former Minister Joginder Singh Maan, Punjab BJP Vice-President Fateh Jang Bajwa besides Shri Vishawkarma Dhiman Sabha President Balwant Rai Dhiman also attended the function. Jaswant Rai Dhiman hoisted the flag.
