CHANDIGARH: The arrest of Chaudhry Yudhvir Singh, National General Secretary of All India Jatt Mahasabha and Spokesperson of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha in Gujarat on the occasion of 'Bharat Bandh' today was strongly denounced by Mr. Rajinder Singh Badheri, Chandigarh unit president of the Mahasabha.
Mr. Badheri termed the forced arrest by Gujarat police as a "murder of democracy". Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. Badheri said that Chaudhry Yudhvir Singh was holding only a press conference but the BJP's nervous central government with the help of Gujarat police forcibly picked him up.
Mr. Badheri further said that Gujarat is not a slave of BJP, the voice of farmers can never be silenced. He said that today in Punjab, Haryana and many other parts of the country, the 'Bharat Bandh' has received overwhelming response from farmers and common people. It is clear from this response that the general public is now fully aware of the BJP and its genocidal policies.
