PHAGWARA: Chief Secretary Punjab Vini Mahajan IAS done an exemplary human kind job in few hours as After long wait of more than 20 months and swift action taken by Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan a Big Size Colour Television has been installed in Dialysis Unit in Civil Hospital Phagwara today.
The TV was donated by a family member of a kidney patient who breathed his life after several dialysis on January 23 last year.The Donor on the term of anonymity told this correspondent here today that his uncle was getting dialysis in the hospital and he saw the kidney patients in deep depression so he decided to donate a colour TV to the hospital for relaxing and diverting the attention of kidney patients from their chronic disease.The donor told that though he donated the TV in the month of October in the year 2019 but due to inefficient working of the Civil Hospital Administration the TV remained lying may be in dust bin for the last 20 months.He said despite repeated reminders neither TV could be traced nor it could be installed. Ultimately the donor contacted with Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan who immediately instructed Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal to act accordingly and DC issued orders to Civil Surgeon Kapurthala Dr Parminder Kaur to install the donated TV immediately in Civil Hospital Phagwara and send pix of installed TV. Civil Surgeon Dr Kaur came into action and arranged the installation of TV and did the work in few hours which was lying pending for the last 20 months.Civil Surgeon Dr Kaur told this correspondent that health department should be thankful for the donors in place of lingering on the goods donated by the donors.Health Department should restore faith among the people, said CMO Dr Kaur.
