CHANDIGARH: The Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) today expelled senior Akali leader and SGPC member from Chandigarh Bibi Harjinder Kaur for her anti-party activities.
Balwinder Singh Bhundar SAD secretary General said that Harjinder Kaur was expelled from primary membership of party after she was found supporting BJP candidate from Chandigarh seat. He said that they had received video evidence against Harjinder Kaur. He said that such a conduct was not expected from a senior party functionary. He said that she was SAD members for the last over 30 years.
Bhundar said that BJP was luring the opposition leaders with offers and false promises. He said that party president would take appropriate action against SAD candidate from Chandigarh Hardeep Singh Saini who withdrew from contest and resigned from the party as well.
Hardeep Singh Saini had blamed party president Sukhbir Singh Badal for not paying any attention to election in Chandigarh. He said that he met the party president many times but got no satisfactory reply. He stated that he cant contest at his own.
