CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party has declared Mohinder Bhagat its candidate for the Jalandhar West seat for which bye-election will be held on July 10, 2024. The seat fell vacant after AAP MLA Sheetal Angural resigned and joined BJP before Lok Sabha elections.
Mohinder Bhagat is son of former BJP minister Chunni Lal Bhagat, a dalit leader of Doaba. Mohinder Bhagat had joined AAP after leaving BJP last year.
No other party has yet declared the candidate for this seat.
