SHAHKOT: The Shahkot police have booked two persons including a woman on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO) Lakbir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Charanjit Kaur wife of Sandip and Amandip Singh son of Mukhtiar Singh residents of Kotla Suraj Mall.
Manjit Kaur wife of Mandip Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused attacked her with dangerous weapons on January 4 and seriously injured her and threatened her with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections323, 325(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused.
