Woman Alleges Abduction of Daughter in Jalandhar, Police Begin Probe

PHAGWARA: On a complaint lodged by Ranjit Kaur, a resident of Jalandhar, the Sadar Kapurthala police have registered a case under section 363, 34 of the Indian Penal Code against Yuvraj alias Love and his family members on the charges of abducting and illegally confining her daughter. 

According to the complaint, Ranjit Kaur stated that on December 23, she had come along with her daughter, to her parental village Mannana. During their visit, her daughter allegedly received a phone call and stepped outside the house to attend it. However, when she failed to return even after a considerable time, the family grew worried and began searching for her, but her whereabouts could not be traced. 

The complainant has alleged that her daughter was forcibly taken away against her will by Yuvraj alias Love, in connivance with his family members and relatives. She further alleged that her daghter is being unlawfully confined at an undisclosed location. 

The police stated that an investigation has been initiated and efforts are underway to trace the missing girl. Officials said that call detail records and the movements of the accused are being examined, and appropriate legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation. 

Police authorities have assured the family that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of the girl and to ascertain the truth behind the allegations.
