Unidentified car driver booked for death by negligence

NAKODAR:The Nakodar sadar police have booked an unidentified car driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.Jyoti daughter of Pappu a resident of Meinwal village in Shahkot complained to the police that s was returning home on her scooter from Jalandhar on September 19 and her mother Manjit Kaur and sister were pillion riding and when they reached near Mudh village on Nakodar -Jalandhar road a speedy car hit her scooter from behind killing her mother on the spot and fled away,

The investigating officer Janak Raj said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public road) and 337and338 (causing grievous hurt to any person by doing any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life, or the personal safety of others) and f427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against unidentified car driver.
