PHAGWARA: Two Villagers were reportedly murdered in Phagwara Sub Division during last twenty four hours. In first incident one Villager identified as Baljit Singh was found murdered in his house in nearby Village Bhularai in wee hours today.The deceased was sleeping, but was found murdered with sharp-edged weapons.His dead body was found in a pool of blood today.
Though the police rushed to the spot, but the cause of the murder could not be ascertained yet.The Police have registered a case under section 302 IPC against the unknown killers who managed to escape after committing the crime.
In second such incident One Villager identified as Bishamber Dass resident of nearby Village Gandam was allegedly murdered, while another villager identified as Avtar Singh sustained serious sharp-edged weapons injuries when more than one dozen armed assailants attacked upon them in the Village last night.The injured villager is struggling for his life in critical condition in a hospital, the police said.Old enimty was said to be the cause of murder, the police said.
The police have registered a case under section 302, 307, 323, 324, 341, 506, 148 and 149 of the IPC against the accused 13 villagers in this regard but no arrest could be made till so far.
