PHAGWARA : The Shahkot police have arrested Mohindar Singh and Sukhdev Singh residents of Langewal village on the charge of illegal sand.
Mining Inspector Rohit Singh complained to the police that the accused were indulging in illegal sand mining and were carrying a tractor trolley loaded with sand from Dhussi Bandh to Ram Pur village without any documents.
The Investigating Officer Lakhbir Singh said that a case under section Punjab Mining Act, 379, 411 I.P.C. has been registered against the accused and impounded a tractor trolley loaded with sand.
