NURMAHAL: The Nurmahal police have booked an SUV driver for causing death by negligence.
The investigating officer (IO) Amandeep Singh said that the accused had been identified as Jaswinder Singh a resident of Bhanno Langa village in Kapurthala.
Sucha Singh a resident of Gobind Nagar, Birr Baloki village under Mehat Pur police station village complained to the police that the accused was driving his SUV very negligently and rashly and hit his car at Talwann Chowk. Nurmahal on November 27 seriously injured his wife Kulwindar Kaur who succumbed to injuries in a hospital.
IO said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279 (rash driving on a public road) and 427 (mischief) of the IPC have been registered against Jaswinder Singh .
