PHAGWARA: The Shahkot police have arrested Lov Jeet Singh Nahar a resident of Said Pur Jirri village on the charges rape, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating Officer I(IO) Kashmir Singh said the victim had complained to police that the accused and his mother had conspired to kidnap her on the pretext of marriage. The victim said that Lovejeet repeatedly raped her, and she became pregnant.
IO said that a case under sections 376(rape), 120-B (criminal conspiracy, and 506 of the IPC was registered against the
