PHAGWARA: A 30 years old reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling Fan in his house in local sugar mills colony last night. The deceased was identified as Sarwan Kumar.
Severe Mental stress was said to be the cause of suicide, the police said. The Police have registered a case and handed over the body to his family members after post-mortem examination.
17 year old girl crushed to death
In another mishap, a 17 years old young girl was run over by a running train near Phillaur railway station yesterday.
The deceased identified as Muskaan resident of Kali Nagar was going to ease herself in bushes
near railway lines, but was run over while crossing the railway lines, said GRP.The deceased was studying in Plus Two, but was forced to ease her self in open near bushes due to lack of toilets in her small house.GRP has handed over the body after autopsy conducted in civil hospital.
