Morinda boy arrested by Himachal Police for Khalistan posters was underground for two years

RUPNAGAR:  The Himachal Pradesh Police has arrested Harbir Singh(37) a Sikh youth hailing from Morinda town in this district in connection with Khalistani posters pasted on the wall of state assembly complex in Dharamsala.

Harbir Singh alias Raju was underground for the last two years and his whereabouts were not know to family members. He was booked by Morinda police in 2013 in case FIR number 213 under section 323, 341, 506, 148, 149 of IPC and was declared Proclaimed offender bu the court in 2015. He was awarded one year imprisonment in that case and his appeal against the sentence is listed for hearing on July 21, 2022.

Harbir Singh's role in the Khalistan poster case is not yet clear but police have taken him for questioining.
