CHANDIGARH: A minor boy (17) resident of village Chhajjumajra near Kharar in Mohali district today committed suicide after he was tortured by Police officials in Kharar police station.
Punjab Police ASI Surjit Singh and a constable have been suspended and a case has been registered against the two. Police is investigating the case. The deceased boy has alleged in his video that Policemen demanded a bribe of Rs.20000 and being a poor guy he was unbale to pay this amount.
The boy was caught by the police riding a motorcycle whe he was stopped by Surjit Singh in civil uniform. On search a fake RC was found in the dicky of sbike. . Boy claimed that he had borrowed the motorcycle from a friend. He claimed next day father of the bike owner came to police station with real documents but police demanded the bribe again.
