PHAGWARA: The Phagwara Police have arrested an accused and recovered 02 pistols.
The Superintendent of Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti , said that under the anti-criminal campaign a special team was formed which was headed by DSP Phagwara Jaspreet Singh . She said that a case was registered under Arms Act in Sadar Police Station Phagwara was registered against Dildar Singh r/o village Jethuwal Police Station Kamboa District Amritsar on March 12 and a pistol along with the ammunition and Rs. 9, 80, 000/- were recovered from him.
During the investigation the accused Dildar Singh admitted that the recovered pistol was kept to Vishal @ Vicky s/o Saab r/o village Sodhi police station. The said Vishal @ Vicky was nominated. Vishal @ Vicky FIR No. 16/2022 u/s 302 IPC Police Station Hooda Jagadhri Kurukshetra Haryana was kept in the District Jail Kurukshetra Haryana on 12.04.2024 for 05 days. He was brought on the production warrant and enquired. During the enquiry one pistol .32 bore and a country pistol were recovered from his house. Accused Vishal @ Vicky was very active in Kurukshetra area. The accused has admitted that he was associated with the Bambiha gang and he used to buy and bring arms from Madhya Pradesh. After presenting the accused in the honorable court, the accused Vishal @ Vicky has been remanded for another two days. More sensational revelations are likely during the interrogation.
