Indian origin man Charged for sexual assault by Brampton police

BRAMMPTON: Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged a music school instructor in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that the victim, a 16-year-old youth, was at a music lesson at a residence in Brampton when she was sexually assaulted.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, police arrested and charged, Rajinder Raj, a 71-year-old man from Brampton with the following offences:

• Sexual Assault
• Sexual Exploitation

He will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.

This investigation remains ongoing, and investigators believe that there may be additional victims.
