PHAGWARA: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a youth on the charge of kidnapping a minor. Investigating officer (IO) Jaspal Singh said that the accused had been identified as Manoj Kumar a resident of Meerpur village presently resident of France.
Kiran wife of Pardeep Kumar a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused kidnapped her daughter on June 21 last year, by inducing her to take her to France.
IO said that a case under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366-A (procuration of minor girl) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
