CHANDIGARH: A female was paraded naked in village Valtoha in Taran Taran district of Punjab and inaction by the police has raised fingers on the ruling AAP and the opposition parties Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal for keeping mum due to political compulsions.
Valtoha is the native village of senior SAD leader Virsa Singh Valtoha who is silent over the issue. Neither any statement is issued by SAD leaders Sukhbir Singh Badal his MP wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Congress leaders Partap Singh Bajwa and PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja warring are also on the same plateform.
Punjab police is also accused for shielding the culprits who are politically infleunced and no political party is keen to annoy the culprits at the time of Lok Sabha elections.
The victim woman is mother of a boy who married a woman of same village with whome he was in love. The family members of girl attacked the mother of boy torn her clothes and paraded her naked in the village. The incident was of March 31 but the police registered the FIR on April 3 after hue and cry by the victim woman who was turned away from police station on the day of incident. The police tried to strike an agreement between the accused and the victim.
The FIR registered after three days didnt make any refrence of viral video of woman and no case was registered uner IT act. It si alleged that case was registered under bailable setions of IPC. The viral video shows how thre men caught hold of woman and stripped her naked. The woman alleged that a woman among the accused even tried to push down her lower clothes but she caught hold of her lower clothes despite beating by the accused men.
No accused has been arrested even after five days of the incident.
