PHAGWARA: A major fire incident was reported at the residence of Rachna in Vishwakarma Colony, Pallahi Road, Phagwara, on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday following a suspected inverter short circuit.
The fire quickly spread, completely gutting a car and a motorcycle parked inside the premises. Despite the swift response of the Phagwara fire brigade, both vehicles were already reduced to ashes by the time the flames were brought under control.
No loss of human life was reported, though household materials also sustained damage. Authorities have initiated an assessment of the losses caused by the blaze.
