PHAGWARA: The Bilga police have arrested a Bilga villager on the charge of assaulting a woman. The Investigating officer (IO) Ashwani Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Davindar Singh alias, Saabi, a resident of Patti Bhalai, Bilga village.
Kamaljit Kaur wife of Shindar Pal a resident of the same locality has complained to the police that the accused and his accomplices barged into her house on May 20 and assaulted her.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurts), 452(house trespass after preparation for assault), and 34 (committing a crime with the common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused and two others.
