CHANDIGARH: The two day Pet Fed known as India’s biggest pet festival began at Elante Mall here on Saturday. The first day of the pet carnival served as a haven for all pets, their devoted parents, and animal enthusiasts. The pet enthusiasts united under one roof to share, celebrate, and experience the profound and unbreakable bond between humans and their pets.
The festival's primary aim was to raise awareness and advocate for the welfare of pets, encouraging people to be more empathetic and attentive to the needs of animals while celebrating the bond between every pet parent and their beloved pets.
A wide array of exciting activities and games were organized on the first day of the festival.
The various stalls offered a diverse range of food and beverages, as well as captivating stage performances and shows.
Engaging activities included an agility area for canine companions and kitty playpen for feline companions. The fun interactive stage games featured temptation alley, trick relay, musical mutts and feed the dog.
The Fab Indie contest was aimed to honor and celebrate Indie pets. These local and street animals often go unnoticed and require special care and affection. These pets, though they live on the streets, are also living creatures in need of care, shelter, and companionship.
An agility ring was perfect for dogs to showcase their skills, maneuvering through rings and ball pools. For cats, the show has a kitty playpen to sway their poise allowing them to revel in their space and playfulness with fellow felines.
To acknowledge those who adopt and foster Indie pets, the show hosted a dedicated online contest.
